Lori is finally, at long last, able to pick Sean up again. As soon as she did, he snuggled right in and let out a sigh. It was great to see the two of them together again.

Lori saw the doc yesterday. If she doesn't go into labor on her own, they will induce her on October 6th. So that leaves just over a week to go. I'm so proud of Lori for carrying the baby to term. I know it's been rough on her to be confined to a hospital bed or to the couch for the last (nearly) 2 months, but it will be worth it.
Had this one for a while too. Booyah! Two videos posted in one day!
I've had this ready for a while, and just kept forgetting to put it up. I've finally managed to find some time to make some updates to the blog, so enjoy the first post after our brief hiatus!
Sorry for the lack of updates in the last month - it's been a little crazy here. For those who didn't know, about 3 weeks ago Lori started having contractions, and she is still -way- too early to have the baby. So they kept her in the hospital and put her on meds to keep her from going into labor. She was there about 2 weeks, and is now home - but on very strict bed rest. My mom has come out to help us. But we've finally settled into a routine around here and I'm not scrambling so much to keep on top of everything, so there should be some updates coming soon. Thanks.
Don't let the name throw you - this has nothing to do with dung. This guy makes miniature boats out of bits of stuff he finds washed up on the beach. I find them to be very beautiful and whimsical. Check out his
Flickr photoset.
Sometimes when I get home from work and dinner is still cooking, I put Sean up on the island in the kitchen to give him a hug and kiss. He loves to sit up there and look around, and see things from an adult's-eye-view. Well the other day I put him up there, and he made a beeline for the fruit bowl. He grabbed an apple, and started chowing down! It was so cute, we snagged some pictures.
What do you think guys - is Lori pregnant, or is just over-doing it on the cupcakes? Aye Carumba! I can't imagine what she will look like in another 3 months! The funny thing is, people still don't notice she's pregnant if they see her from behind. The baby is starting to kick a lot, and I've even felt a few myself. We've started work on the nursery, and it is turning out to be a lot of fun - at least now that the painting is done. Three months (or less) to go!
Check out this beautiful photo of the plane of the Milky Way Galaxy. This long-exposure photo was taken over a rock formation at Capitol Reef National Park, Utah in May 2003.
